Wow! Is Silverlight hot!- All I did was offer...

Just a week ago I offered to speak about Silverlight at any public event.

Now, it's true that I have an ego the size of Nebraska, but I have to face the fact that  the response I received had little to do with me, and everything to do with the excitement around Silverlight...

In that short time, I've booked talks at

In short, (a) I'm booked through 2007 and (b) Wow!

If you are going to be at any of these events, look for me on Twitter, and let's see if we can set up a meeting or a lunch.

PS: While I'll be booking events in 2008, not at this pace! My family will never forgive me.  Look for me at some of the larger Microsoft events, and keep in touch, you never know where I might pop up. Thanks!

Huh, why Nebraska? -:) Why not Texas or CA??? j/k

That's great Jesse. I live in Florida, but 4 hours away from Orlando. Perhaps I'll make it. And Hopefully, there will be NEW update of 1.1 by then.

How long do you think the talk in Orlando is going to be? Will it be a nice "tech-talk" or more trying to educate those who don't know SL?

BTW, the link to Florida does not work!

The talk in Florida is in two parts. I'm talking in the morning (9am to 1pm) about Silverlight and then someone else is talking about WPF.

(I leave promptly at 1pm or face big trouble - my wife and daughter are flying in and we're off to Disney World!)

My part of Silverlight Saturday will be a short overview and then demo, demo, demo; with a very strong focus on 1.0.

My pitch at all of the talks I give is, "I'm not very good at (or interested in) talking you into using Silverlight, but I'm VERY interested in finding out how to help you use it once you decide you want to. Hey!, let's build something..."

[I need a button that says "I'm in development, NOT in marketing."  So think demo.]

PS: My guess is the Fla. site will be up as soon as they can get it together; give them time; they've been scrambling.
