1. Click on your project, and go to Add->Existing Item.. and then chose your Button.xaml file. It must contain something like this:

<Button xmlns='schemas.microsoft.com/.../2007' Height="100" Content="Button From Xaml"/>

2. Now when your XAML file's been added to your project click on it to open it's properties.

3. In the Properties pane chose option "Resource" for the "Build Action" field.

Now it has to work well.

Something like below:

// socket closed

if (_received == 0)

{

 _connection.Close();

 return;

}

It is a shame Microsoft cannot just package a policy server implementation in the Silverlight installation as a tool and has to use these blogs to show how to write one...

And what is the deal with '_' before field names? Some new naming convention?

The way I look at it the techniques in this book really just show you how to get things done using Silverlight. How you apply these techniques really depends upon what exactly you are building. If you have any specific examples or questions let me know.

Also, you can reach me directly at msnow @ microsoft.com

I will be OOF though on vacation 1 week starting today.

Thanks,
