Cannot watch NBCOlympics

I was able to in my old Windows 2003 Server 64. After I upgrade it to a brand new Windows 2008 64 Datacenter (sp1 I guess) just to try this Hyper-V stuff, I could only watch the commercial and get shut off on the ensuing video. There's an error message saying there might be internet problem and the staffs are looking into it, sth like that. I suspect it's a 2008 unique problem, probably due to some glitch in version recognition I think.

Is there a solution othe than downgrade it to 2003?

Re: Cannot watch NBCOlympics

This is due to te security settings imposed on the browser.

Start -> Administrative Tools -> Server Manager -> configure IE ESC

By default, it is on for Administrators and off for users, turn it off for administrators too and click OK. you will not be notified for adding any other websites to trusted sites zone.

You can make this change, but it will make your server less secure.  You can also add the site to the trusted sites and they may work.  Adjusting the settings on the server can open you open for hackers who take advantage of holes in ie to comprimise your machine.

Thanks

Wow, your reply is so on. It's back to normal now.

Thanks buddy. I guess I still have a lot to learn about Vista/2008. :-)
