Channel 9 screencasts videos

Hi All,
In the "Get started" there is a list of tutorials videos for beginners.
Could you add a link to the channel 9 screencasts http://channel9.msdn.com/Showforum.aspx?forumid=38&tagid=209, as they have 23 tutorials for silverlight aswell.

It maybe useful for newbies looking for more info.

Hi Slyi,

All 23 of the Channel9 screencasts are included on the Learn-Video page: http://silverlight.net/Learn/learnvideos.aspx.

Thanks,

Simon.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but that page does not work for me at all. I get an "UnsupportedBrowser is null" error or something like that.

I have SL1.1 alpha installed.

m3taverse - which page gives you an error - the one on silverlight.net or the one on Channel9? What browser, version, and OS are you running on?

Thanks,

Simon.

Hi Simon,

I cannot watch any of the training videos on the silverlight.net domain, I get a Javascript error about UnsupportedBrowser being null.
I'm on Vista Ultimate, 64bit, IE7 with SL1.1a. Everything's up to date etc.
I can (luckily) watch video no problem on channel9.

Exact error : line 896 Sys.Preview.MediaRes.Xaml_UnsupportedBrowser is null or not an object.

Re: Channel 9 screencasts videos

Hi m3taverse,

I was browsing through Bill Reiss Silverlight version of Dr. Popper game. A small note under the silver Light control  states that, "In Vista, there is a glitch which requires you to run Internet Explorer as Administrator in order to run Silverlight 1.1 applications. If you get an "Get Silverlight" message in IE after installing 1.1 Alpha, this is probably why. Firefox seems to work fine." You might be having the same problem.

Hope this helps.

Nope. I run as admin and Firefox doesn't work either.
