hi guys!

I am sorry if I am in the wrong forum...

I have silverlight 2.01 beta installed in my pc,

I could see silverlight content before but  today I was try to see channel 8 or channel 10 videos and instead of showing the video it said " get microsoft silverlight" I reinstalled again and nothing. Can somebody help me?

 I have IE7. In firefox it works fine...

I prefer IE that's why.

I'm not aware of a Silverlight 2.01 beta. Can you right-click on some Silverlight content in firefox, select "about silverlight" and let us know the full version number?

Are you running Vista or XP 64 bit?

hi Pete (nice blog)!

I am running xp home edition, 32 bit.

IE pro 2.2. It was working very well yesterday. Today it started happening.

I unisntalled and reinstalled but still the same. IE does not show me. No even in your blog.

In firefox the silverlight version is 2.0.30226.2. it works great.

I've seen a number of instances on here where SL works in Firefox but not in IE. I don't know that there's a solution that has worked for all of them.

One thing some folks have done, and not sure if this was a fluke or not: uninstall Silverlight (add/remove programs), then reinstall it via Firefox instead of IE.

Odd that it was working yesterday and not today. Any idea what might have happened last night? Any windows updates or anything run overnight?

No, the only thing I did was instal the windows telescope, lanchued today and unistalled already... i will try that.

Not working in IE. If I go to the silverlight website it shows me, the version is installed in IE but if I try to watch a video or a silverlight content. not

Ok, one last thing.

In IE7, thoose tools->Manage Add-Ons

In the drop down, pick "Add-ons that run without requiring permissions" (it may be in another list on yours, but that's where it is on my machine). ANd make sure "Microsoft Silverlight" is enabled. If you don't see it in any of the lists at all, then the activex control was not installed/registered for some reason. If it's there and disabled, enable it.

I have done this, I think the only way in unistalling IE and reinstall...
