Different behavior when accessing video pages

I am running Vista x64 w/ ie7 and am unable to view any video (on two different machines with the same configuration).  The only error I see is a javascript error stating the following 'GLOBAL_PLAYER' is null or not an object.  When I access any video on a machine running XP x86 w/ ie7 I am able to view the videos without a problem.

Re: Different behavior when accessing video pages

I think that Silverlight only works (currently) with 32 bit versions of IE.  Have you tried running the 32bit version of IE on your box?  (I don't have a x64 handy so I can't tell you where to find it).

Yes, I've tried using the 32 bit ie.  Still the same results.  It seems that all other functionality from Silverlight exist, except for the videos.  If I were to access one of the showcase examples, they all seem to work fine.

Thank you for the report.  I've logged this issue.

Can you tell me, do either of these videos work for you in that environment?

Re: Different behavior when accessing video pages

Did anyone ever find a resolution for this?  I'm experiencing the same problem, also under Vista Ultimate 64-bit.  Happens in both IE7 (32-bit or 64-bit) and the Visual Studio 2008 browser, but not in Firefox.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight 1.0, but that didn't help.

The initial error is somewhat different in the Visual Studio 2008 browser:

'Sys.Preview.MediaRes.Xaml_UnsupportedBrowser' is null or not an object

Also tried with Silverlight 2.0.30226.2 installed.  Same behavior.
